with 8 distinct campus locations in a fast-growing, tri-county area of Central FL.
Our hospital system is part of a larger network of 17 hospitals in the Adventist Health System
and is distinguished as the main flagship facility of the entire Adventist Health System.
The purpose of this section is to provide you with answers to some of your questions regarding insurance, invoice payment, and the billing process. Our customer friendly AHL Billing Department is available for additional support.

Insurance Information – Do you know what laboratory services are covered by your health insurance plan? To find out if AdventHealth Lab accepts your health insurance plan, or if you have a question about coverage, contact your insurance company or our Billing Department. If your insurance does not cover services provided by AdventHealth Lab, your financial responsibility may be significantly higher.
Medicare/Medicaid – AdventHealth Lab accepts Medicare and Medicaid. At the time of service you will be asked to present your insurance card as well as your personal ID. Medicare requires we check the diagnosis by the ordering physician to ensure that the specific tests or procedures are covered by Medicare. Medicare has the right to not pay for tests, services and procedures it believes are not required to address the diagnosis.
Making Arrangements- You will be responsible for the cost of services not covered by your insurance. If you do not have health insurance and need to make financial arrangements, contact our Billing Department. Payments can be made by check, money order, debit card and or credit card, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.

Using our on-line Patient Account Center allows you to manage your AHL account securely and conveniently from any computer. You can

Third Party Billing (Insurance)
AHL will submit a claim for your laboratory services to your insurance company. In order to submit a claim, the following information is required:
- Complete Patient Information
- Name – First, Last, Middle Initial
- Date of Birth
- Ordering Physician Name
- Insurance Company Name and Address
- Policy Number (Attach copy of Insurance Card)
Affordable Care Act Health Insurance Marketplace
Introduced on October 1, 2013, the Health Insurance Marketplace offers insurance plans to individuals regardless of past or current medical conditions. Its goal, under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) is to have most Americans covered by a health insurance plan by January 1st of 2014. Those not covered by a health insurance plan by that date may incur a fine.
