Pinworms are parasites that can be found in the lower end of the bowel. Return the specimen to the laboratory as soon as possible.

This special stain is used to diagnose a lung infection called Pneumocystis carinii.

GLUCOSE TOLERANCE TEST

The glucose tolerance test is used to diagnose diabetes. This test should be done in the morning after an overnight fast of at least 8 hours.

A Fine Needle Aspirate is performed by a pathologist, who is a physician specializing in examination and diagnosis of cells and tissue.
